Overview
The Shimano 105 12-speed cassette brings Hyperglide+ shifting to the 105 groupset. You get smooth, quick gear changes on the road and on the smart trainer. The sprockets are designed by computer and have shaped shift gates, so the chain moves across cleanly even when you're pushing hard on a climb or in a sprint.
Finer cadence control
Close ratio gearing keeps the jumps between sprockets small. It's easier to hold your ideal cadence, so you use your energy better on long rides, in group rides and on structured indoor sessions where steady power matters.
Light and stiff
The largest sprockets sit on a lightweight alloy carrier. That saves weight and makes the cassette stiffer. The sprockets are also cut away and drilled to take out more weight without losing strength.
