TICKR FIT reads heart rate optically from your forearm rather than electrically from your chest. For a lot of riders that is the difference between wearing a monitor and leaving it in a drawer — there is no strap across the ribs, no chafing, and nothing to wet before you start.

It runs 30+ hours on a charge, is IPX7 water resistant, and comes with two strap sizes so it fits properly on most arms. There is a physical on/off button, which sounds trivial and is not: sensors that wake on movement have a habit of being flat when you need them.

Riders who dislike chest straps, which is a lot of people. Also anyone doing long steady sessions indoors where comfort over two hours matters more than millisecond response at the start of an interval.
